Based in Rutherglen and serving Glasgow and surrounding areas, Rambling Rose Garden Services is dedicated to helping your garden grow.
Whether you need a regular visit to look after existing borders, beds, shrubs, hedges and small trees, a one-off tidy-up and clear-out for an overgrown garden, or if you’re looking to transform your garden with new planting designs and growing ideas – I can help.
Rambling Rose Garden Services values sustainability. I won't use harmful chemical pesticides or herbicides in your garden. I always garden with local wildlife, soil health, pollinators, and pets in mind. I love finding sustainable solutions like companion planting, encouraging natural predation, and composting to deal with common garden problems.
Rambling Rose Garden Services is a one-woman operation, all aspects of the business are handled by Maddie. I am a self-taught, life-long, passionate gardener, fascinated by the life of plants and their role in broader ecosystems.
I started gardening with my mum (a professional horticulturalist herself and huge inspiration!) when I was little. Over the years I have worked in specialist garden nurseries, on potato farms in the Scottish borders, and spent months and years volunteering in community gardens and on outdoors community projects. I have tended my own small garden since 2017, and am happiest there or working on the allotment I share with friends.
While I worked as a university lecturer for 15 years gardening was my stress-relieving hobby, now after a career change it is my full-time job!
